How much damage does a weave do to your hair?
I’ve been thinking about getting a weave. I had extensions before and it did so much damage to my hair we had to cut 5 inches off my hair. I’m white, and have really thick curly hair. I blow dry and use hot tools on my hair daily so I was considering a weave to give my natural hair a brake. I don’t know much about weaves, I know there’s a few different ways to do them, I was thinking about getting my hair cornrowed because I heard it helps promote hair growth? How much damage does the different types of weaves cause? I’d like to get hair that’s probably 20-22 inches, to the middle of my back, if the length and weight adds to the type of damage it’ll do. Any information would be greatly appreciated!
